Dr Leo Seo Wei is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with extensive experience in cataract management and cataract surgery in Singapore. She is also one of the few specialists in Singapore who are trained with the latest trifocal implant lens for cataract patients & bladeless cataract surgery.
Dr Leo is a highly trained ophthalmologist, having completed two intensive clinical fellowships in the United States: Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) & American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus-Accredited Clinical Fellowship (AAPOS).
Her US stints were held at the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center, Ann Arbor, University of Michigan; as well as at the Wright Center for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, Los Angeles.
On top of obtaining the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Dr Leo has even cleared the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE). She has also received several service excellence awards including the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award from the Ministry of Health, Clinical Excellence (EXSA) Silver 2008, and Gold 2009. In Singapore, her experience spans across various established hospitals, including the Singapore National Eye Centre, National University Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, before setting up her own practice at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, where she is primarily based up to this day.
